Jesus at the wedding in Canal of Galilee

From the book of John chapter 2 from verses 1 to 11, the Bible talks about Jesus being at a wedding at the canal of Galilee. And at that wedding, while the wedding was ongoing, the wine was finished. And wine getting finished simply means that the party will be prematurely over, there will be disappointment, there will be problems, and the couple may have one or two disappointments that they are going to face that day.

But thank God that Jesus was there, and thank God that they came to Jesus and asked for help. And Jesus Christ intervened, and things were turned around for them for the better. Even the wine that Jesus gave them at the end of the day was far, far better than the one they were taking at the beginning.

But how does this relate to you and I? You know, sometimes we have our life planned out. We have everything going for us, but at the point in time, there may be some event that will occur that wants to derail our life, that wants to turn things negatively, that wants to turn things around. At that instant, we must look for Jesus and call unto him to help us.

Some of us, our marriage used to be good, but one thing happened, one thing led to another, and things became sad. It is time to call on Christ. Sometimes we have businesses that was going on well until one event and everything became disappointed.

You need to call unto Jesus. And sometimes our academics were going on fine until something happened and everything went sad. You need to call on Jesus.

Just as that couple at that wedding were able to call on Christ and Jesus Christ turned things around for them. If you call on Jesus, it will turn things around for you and everything will become even better than the way it was even before those events happened. My brothers and sisters, I'm using this opportunity to tell you that Jesus is the burden bearer.

He can help you bear your burden. He can help you solve that problem. Only if you accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Savior, he can make a way for you where there is no way.

He can bring out water even out of the desert for you. He said, Behold, I will do a new thing. Now he shall spring forth.

I will even make a way in the wilderness and bring water out of desert land. That is this Jesus that is available for you. For as many that will call unto him, he will not reject you.

He will not cast you out. So instead of wallowing in your problem, instead of trying to solve it by yourself, instead of trying to make it out of it by your own wisdom, why can't you just hand it over to Jesus? Let Jesus take over that marriage. Let him take over that career.

Let him take over that business. Let him take over everything that you may be finding difficult even to do now. Jesus is available.

Why are you suffering when there is help calling out to you? Jesus is calling out to you. My brothers and sister, just call unto him and he will help you. Do you want to call on Jesus? Before you can call unto him, you have to believe in him.

You have to believe that he's the son of God. You have to believe that he has the power to solve your problem. You have to believe that he died for you and he rose again on the third day.

So the first thing you must do before you call on Jesus to intervene in your situation is first of all believe in him. Then the second thing is use your mouth to confess him as your personal Lord and savior. If you can do these two things, then you have the right even to call him to come and intervene in your situation.

If you have not given your life to Christ and you want to do it now, or you have even done it before but you have abandoned him and you'd like to rededicate your life to Christ, can you please take this prayer after me? Say Lord Jesus, I thank you today for everything you have done for me. I acknowledge that you died for me. I believe that you rose again on the third day and I believe that you love me and you are looking out for me.

I am sorry for all my sins. Have mercy upon me. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I ask for mercy and I ask that the blood you shed on the cross of Calvary use it to wash away my sins.

Forgive me my sins. Have mercy upon me and make me a brand new man. I accept you into my life today as my personal Lord and savior.

Be my God from today. I reject every other God. I reject every other thing and I cling on to you only.

Lord Jesus, make a way for me. Help me oh God and I promise you I will do your will. I will obey you.

I will do what you ask me to do. I will stay away from what you ask me to stay away from. Lord Jesus, help me.

Help my career. Help my home. Help everything that pertains unto me.

Thank you Jesus. For in Jesus name I pray. Yeah, if you have prayed that prayer, congratulations.

Jesus Christ will step in and intervene. But once you have given your life to Christ, there are some things you need to do even to stay connected to him. Number one, you have to stay away from sin as much as possible.

Bible says righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. Make sure you stay away from sin. Sin drags men down.

Just stay away from it. But if you mistakenly fall into sin, the blood of Jesus is still there to wash you clean. You can still call on to him again.

That's number one. Number two, you need to start reading the Bible. Bible is like a guide that God has provided for us that are in him.

That will help us even to live this new life correctly. Start reading the Bible. Number three, you need to start praying.

Pray. Ask God to step into that situation. Call on to him in prayer in the morning, in the night, at any time he's there waiting for you.

Present your case before him. Present the situation before him and he will help you. Then last but not the least, look for a Bible-believing church around your area and begin to fellowship with them.

And as you do this, God will continue to intervene in your situation and things will become better. Thank you very much. I so much appreciate you hearing this message.

Do have a wonderful day.
